Lisa Powers

Welcome to Messiah Christian School.  It is my honor to serve as the school's director and a privilege to play a role in the education and growth of our children.

I graduated cum laude from Hillsdale College in 1983 and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.  I also hold a Child Development Associate credential from the Council for Professional Recognition and am an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).   I joined Messiah Christian School in 2009, as a member of the "lunch bunch" and developed the lunch program we have in place today.  I have also taught in our wonderful 3's classroom and served as the Administrative Assistant and Assistant Director.  I was pleased to be asked to direct Messiah Christian School in October 2016.

My husband Mike and I have been Reynoldsburg residents for over 20 years, and we are members of St. Pius X parish.  Mike is employed by Huntington and holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration Information Systems.  He is an adjunct professor at several universities.  I am the proud mother of two Messiah Christian School graduates.  My daughter Kelli practices equine veterinary medicine in Middleburg, Virginia.  My daughter Molli is a second grade teacher for Indianapolis Public Schools.

I love to spend time in my garden and am a huge sports fan.  My favorite teams include the Kentucky Wildcats, Auburn Tigers, Butler Bulldogs and Boston Red Sox.  I also enjoy the theater and love horses.

Each year spent at Messiah is a blessing to me.  I am grateful to those who choose to share their amazing children with us.
