Effective March 9th, 2022 Messiah Christian School families will no longer be REQUIRED to wear masks inside Messiah Lutheran Church or Messiah Christian School. This decision is keeping with CDC Guidelines and local municipalities and school districts. If CDC Guidelines would change then this decision would be re-visited. If a member/visitor chooses to wear a mask that is their personal decision.
If you should decide to have your child continue to wear a mask while in school please send your child's teacher a direct email advising them of your family's desire to have your child continue to wear a mask. We will no longer provide masks at school. Parents will need to provide a mask for their child. Teachers will continue to support your child wearing a mask at school with the exception of meal times, and outdoor play. Children wearing a mask will also still be allotted a mask break when requested by the child. During a mask break your child will be socially distanced to prevent them from coming into direct contact with peers.
We all want to continue to provide a healthy school environment for our students. Please refrain from sending your child to school if they have COVID or Cold like symptoms present. If your child should develop a cough while at school we will be having your child wear a mask to help prevent the spread of germs.
